During the General Election in 2017, Thersea May built her entire re-election campaign on the “strong and stable” slogan, repeating it constantly in interviews and campaign speeches.  However the slogan rapidly became a strong and stable meme, with people delighting in counting its absurd repetitions, and even EU politicians openly mocking it
